As a new website owner, learning your way around your website can sometimes be a little confusing.

If your website is built using WordPress, then one of the main things you need to learn is how to log into your WordPress admin area, as all of your website’s administrative tasks are run from this area.

Depending on the theme installed on your website or blog, you may be able to log in directly from your main page.

Look for a hyperlink that says “Dashboard” or “Log in”. On some websites, the link can be found in the Meta section of your site’s sidebar menu

Note: The “login” link may not be visible in many themes. If you cannot see this link on your website, then you will need to type your WordPress admin login URL into your web browser.

The WordPress admin login URL typically should look like this:

  • http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in the root directory of your domain)
  • http://www.yourdomain.com/subfolder/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in a subfolder of your domain, e.g. “blog”)
  • You can also get to the login section using this address: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin

Note: If the login page doesn’t display when you type in one of the URLs above into your browser, check that the location of your WordPress installation is correct.

If you’ve tried all of the above methods and you still can’t see the WordPress login form, then you may need to get assistance troubleshooting the issue.
